Konstantinos Tsakiris, Director/President Mr. Tsakiris brings with him the experience of succesfull investment history through Paradise Tankers, while he is also chairman of the Technical Management company “Paradise Navigation SA”(PNSA). His experiences include serving as a merchant marine cadet officer for Shipping & Produce, the predecessor to Paradise as well as interning at Pankar Maritime. After serving as a lieutenant of paratroops in the Greek army, he assumed control of his family’s business and renamed it Paradise Navigation, refocusing the strategy and rebuilding the management team. During this period, Mr. Tsakiris developed and enhanced Paradise’s relationships with investors, business partners and vendors. His first acquisition was in 1997, ultimately growing the fleet to seven vessels with very modest leverage. Mr. Tsakiris studied Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College London. He speaks six languages.
Petros Vasilopoulos, Director/Treasurer-Secretary Mr. Vasilopoulos formed PGC with Mr. Tsakiris in 2013 and is a major equity partner. Before that, he has served as Head of Business Development for five years at Specifar Pharmaceuticals SA, the privately-held Athens-based generic pharmaceutical developer, established by his family. The company was acquired by Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. in 2011. Mr. Vasilopoulos brings business development expertise to PGC. He heads the Vasilopoulos family’s interest in Paradise and is engaged in all strategic investment decisions. He holds an MA in Marketing Management and a BSc in International Business.
Matthew Los, PNSA’s CEO Born in London in 1965, he has over three decades of extensive expertise in maritime management and strategic expansion, positioning the company for significant growth in the competitive shipping industry. His leadership is poised to drive transformation through innovative fleet management, where he leverages technologies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization. Paraskevas Koutsoukos, Technical Manager Mr. Koutsoukos joined PGC during 2013 while he has been also contributing extensive maritime operational expertise to Paradise Navigation SA since 1998. His previous experience includes working at Bilinder Marine Corporation, where he was responsible for the conversion of the ship, Alexander. Mr. Koutsoukos also worked as a Superintendent Engineer at Hellespont and at Napier Turbochargers, where he managed 10 bulkers. He trained at Nafsi Shipyard and apprenticed at Shipping & Produce. Mr. Koutsoukos graduated from the University of Athens with a degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering and did post-graduate work, in Port and Shipping Administration, at the University of Wales. He speaks four languages.
Simos Camhis, Chief Financial Officer Mr. Camhis joined PGC in 2013 while also beeing with Paradise Navigation SA since 2007 as Chief Financial Officer. Previously, he was the Corporate Finance Director and IRO of C. Rokas SA, a leading renewable energy company in Greece, then listed on the Athens Stock Exchange. Mr. Camhis gained emerging markets experience from his previous work in Kantor Management Consultants, the European Commission and the World Bank. He graduated from the American University of Paris with a BA degree in International Economics and earned a Masters in International Economics and Management (MIEM) from SDA Bocconi School of Management. Mr. Camhis is fluent in Greek and English and conversational in French.
Andreas Douros, Sale & Purchase and Projects Mr. Douros joined PGC in 2013. Previously, he worked for five years as a shipbroker in the chartering department of Optima Shipbrokers, where he served as the Head of the Dubai-office dry-bulk chartering department. He graduated from the American College of Greece (Deree), with a degree in Accounting and Finance and received an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from the Cass Business School of the City University in London. Mr. Douros speaks Greek, English and French.
